Sustainable Forestry Sourcing – Cup Print Proud to announce PEFC Certification

|

As part of their dedication to sustainability, Cup Print are pleased to have achieved PEFC accreditation to demonstrate their commitment to sourcing materials from sustainable forestry within the rigorous global standards outlined by PEFC.

Following an independent audit, Cup Print and their customers can now assure consumers that their paper cup products originate from responsibly managed forests.

What does PEFC Certification Ensure?

PEFC global forest management requirements uphold strict environmental, social and economic standards for the production of forest-based materials.

Cup Print, known for producing the first and only recyclable paper cup with AAA Certification from the European Green Dot scheme, strive to ensure the maximum amount of raw materials are from sustainable sources.

A Cup Print Double-Wall Paper Cup typically features sustainably grown paper stock on the inner wall, while 100% of the outer wall (40% of overall cup weight) consists of food-grade recycled paper board. Cup Print Single-Wall cup paper content consists entirely of food-safe, PEFC accredited material.

Cup Print Supply Chain Standards

PEFC approved materials complement other Cup Print Supply Chain standards, such the BRCGS Grade A Status for High Hygiene, plus approved food-safe inks and coatings on all paper cup products.

In addition to recyclable cups, Cup Print also produce regular PE and compostable paper cups for customers with their usual bespoke design, low minimum order quantity and fast turnaround service.

Customers will be able to request the PEFC artwork on their customised paper cup designs to assure consumers are aware of their takeaway paper cup’s provenance.
